Commissioned to replace an historic church destroyed by fire, Philip Carter Johnson executed a modern design artfully combining traditional materials such natural stone and stained glass with modern materials such as concrete. Set within the historic center of Goderich, Knox Presbyterian Church garnered Johnson a silver Massey Medal in 1953.
